Upon hearing Yun Shi praise Wei Ruo, Wei Qingwan couldn't help but tighten her fists.
Now, both her father and mother feel that her sister is better than her.
Wei Qingwan followed Yun's words and casually said, "Yes, if only sister had told us earlier."
Upon hearing these words, Yun Shi's expression slightly froze.
She didn't know that her eldest daughter's rice seeds were good quality, but her eldest daughter herself should know about it.
However, this thought only lingered in Yun Shi's mind for a while, and she soon remembered that when Wei Ruo came to the mansion, their early rice was already being transplanted.
"This should not be Ruo'er's fault, I remember that we already transplanted the rice at the time she returned. If she told me to change the rice seeds, I wouldn't have believed her right away." Yun Shi said.
Yun Shi still remembered this matter clearly. When her daughter first said that she wanted to improve the land in the south of the city, she was still opposed to it. She didn't believe that her eldest daughter had this ability.
"Yes... Yes, daughter almost forgot. It turns out that my sister only came back later on, I forgot." Wei Qingwan quickly agreed.
Just as Yun Shi was worried about the matter of food, the goods from the Bo Zhongyi’s Mansion from the capital arrived.
It was a gift from the old man and Wei Mingting's two elder brothers to congratulate Wei Mingting on his promotion.
Among them, there were several carts of rice. The first half of the journey was faster by rivers, but after passing through Hangzhou Prefecture, it was delayed a lot, so it was only delivered today.
Seeing a load of things, Yun Shi was overjoyed.
Although Yun Shi was sure that the reason why her father-in-law and her two brothers were so enthusiastic must be because of her husband’s promotion. He was the only official from Bo Zhongyi's Mansion now, and the backbone of Bo Zhongyi's Mansion.
But it has to be said that this portion of food is her urgent need.
Apart from the grain sent by the Bo Zhongyi’s Mansion, there were also some clothes and jewelry that were given by the old man and the old lady.
"Third madam, these are from the old man and old lady to the eldest young lady."
The messenger who came with the gifts specifically explained.
"Okay." As Yun Shi agreed, she looked at Wei Qingwan beside her, with concern in her eyes.
Wei Qingwan's face turned a bit pale, but in the face of Yun Shi's concerned gaze, she still forced a smile.
But her smile actually made Yun Shi more pitiful.
Before Yun Shi could even say anything, Wei Qingwan took the lead and said, "Mother, daughter is fine. My sister has just returned to the mansion, so it's reasonable for my grandparents to care more about my sister."
Hearing her daughter's sensible words, Yun Shi's heart became even heavier.
Yun Shi glanced at the clothes and jewelry in front of her, her heart swayed for a while, and then said, "Wanwan, next time when we have more money, Mother will buy some more for you."
Yun Shi really wanted to share some with Wei Qingwan, but she still had some sense. These fabrics and jewelry were different from the ornaments from last time, and they all had to be worn.
In the future, they will visit the capital. When the time comes, if her in-laws know that she gave the things that were designated for the eldest daughter to the second daughter, her parents in-laws will definitely not like it.
No matter how much Yun Shi wanted to take care of her second daughter, she would not dare to go against her parents-in-law.
Hearing Yun Shi's words, Wei Qingwan was taken aback and stared blankly at Yun Shi.
"What's wrong, Wanwan?" Yun Shi looked at Wei Qingwan in confusion.
"Nothing, I'm fine, Mother..." Wei Qingwan immediately returned to her senses, repeatedly emphasizing that she was fine.
"Well, it's okay if you’re fine." Yun Shi didn't think too much. She understood Wanwan's temperament, and it was inevitable that her grandparents' attitude would make her feel a bit sad, but she definitely wouldn't have any other thoughts.

I wouldn't have a problem with Yun Shi's desire to treat her daughters equally, if she truly treated them equally.

I find it amusing how much everyone just trusts that Qingwan will be fine and won't have a problem with this, which also does show that they do kind of unintentionally screw people over all the time, even the ones they like. They don't even realize what she's thinking or actually understand her as well as they think they do.
