Nine Lives of the Crimson Fox

Hu Danyan is a nine-tailed fox who has spent four centuries pretending to be human and finding it increasingly tedious. When she accidentally saves the life of a mortal scholar who then follows her home out of gratitude and refuses to leave, she faces a problem she has not encountered in four hundred years: someone she does not immediately want to get rid of.
